Perfect Timing {Birmingham, AL Family Photographer}

It was such a blessing to photograph this extended family!  We had planned to do this session several times in the past year, but different events hindered that from happening.  The grandmother had been battling cancer for a while and we were able to get together on one of her better days this Spring. She was such a joy and blessing to so many people over the years.  Just a few months after having these pictures made, she went to be with the Lord.  I know these portraits will be cherished for a lifetime!  There is never a better time to have a family or extended family portrait than NOW, as life is but a vapor and we are never guaranteed tomorrow.

Sweet 1 (Birmingham, AL Baby Photographer)

We had a fabulous 1 year session for this sweetie at her home.  During the baby's first year, I like to include at least one session from the family's home.  I love incorporating your walls, furniture, and special mementos into your portraits. It is always an honor to visit a client's home and see how they have chosen to frame and decorate their walls with pictures from previous sessions. I have so many favorites from this session to share!  The first year always seems to fly by way to quickly.

Charming {Birmingham, AL Baby Photographer}

This little guy was such a charming little prince for his 6 month portraits! I met up with them at their family farm where we did his newborn session. We did some formal portraits with him wearing his Christening gown and some outdoors.  I just love his expressions and those big blue eyes!  I love that big sisters had a turn in the spotlight as well at the end of our session.

It was such a pleasure to get to visit this family's new home over Thanksgiving and photograph these sweet girls in their own environment.  I loved being able to use the details of their home as a backdrop for classic portraits that they will enjoy viewing on their walls for many years to come. With so many amazing sibling and individual images, we were able to design several custom framed wall collections to decorate their new home and a special keepsake album.

I LOVE that this Mom had her Christmas card portraits taken at her house the past two years. We've used different areas of the house and different color palettes for a total different look.  Mom did a fabulous job decorating her home for Christmas! So warm and inviting!  We both thought we would love the sibling picture taken on the back porch swing the best, but the one on the steps above the family room, won for the front of the Christmas card.  I just love the ambiance of the tree in the background with the stockings hung on the mantel, and the fire in the fireplace.

To Grandmother's House We Go {Hoover, AL Baby Photographer}

I got to meet up with this cutie at her Grandmother's house for her 1 year portrait session.  Her Grandmother has a beautifully decorated home and yard that made for the perfect backdrop for her Fall session.  With Christmas around the corner, we were able to get a nice family portrait that could be used on a Christmas card.

We met up at the Botanical Gardens in late Summer for Miss. C's 1 year portraits.  While we got a couple of cute family shots at the beginning, she was just not into her joyful spirit that day due to a cold coming on.  We set up a date for later in the Fall to try again.  This time I was able to photograph Miss. C at her own house and in her own environment.  She was full of sweet smiles and laughter as we played, ran around the yard, and chased toys in the house.  It is so fun to look at the last image on her couch with her newborn/3 month portrait displayed behind her.  I LOVE watching babies grow over their first year!

Miss. L is one of my Lil' Sprouts.  When it came time for her 6 month session and Mom was talking about fitting her session in before they moved to a new home, I knew their current home would be the perfect backdrop for her 6 month session and portraits with her big brother.  I know how important it will be for these children and their parents to be able to look back at these portraits one day and remember the love and good times that were shared in this home.
