Sitting Pretty at 9 Months {Birmingham, AL Baby Photographer}

This Little Sprout recently came for her 9 month session.  She was sitting pretty and full of sweet expressions.  Studio sessions are always so much fun for the sitting baby stage.  I imagine Miss. L will be close to walking by her 1 year session!

Mom wanted to schedule a special session for Miss. L the week before a serious skull surgery she was to undergo the following week.  Miss. L has the sweetest most easy going personality and her handsome big brother watches carefully over her.  Miss. L had a very successful surgery and is recovering nicely.

For Miss. B's 9 month session we met at an outdoor location. We had a great session together before the rain started falling. I just love how the soft light makes her eyes sparkle and her skin looks like a porcelain doll. Such a happy baby girl!

Close to Home {Hoover, AL Children's Photographer}

I meet these girls close to their home for a Fall/Christmas/9 Month session. We took care of all those needs with a mini session. ;) The afternoon light was just beautiful and made those sweet blue eyes sparkle.

Miss. E's sessions are so much fun! I can't believe we are already at 9 months. She is such a little doll. I love how classic and fun the images from each of her sessions turn out. We enjoyed a taste of some cooler Fall weather the day of her session and were able to get some outdoor portraits around the corner from the studio.

Front Yard Beauty {Hoover, AL Family Photographer}

This sweet family won my recent Backyard Beauty Contest, and it was a pleasure working with them and hear their story. I met them at Mom's parent's home where her father worked diligently for years keeping a beautiful lush yard. It is heartbreaking to hear that her father past away a few weeks ago. While the family is still grieving his loss, I can't think of a better tribute or location for this family to be photographed. If you are considering a family session why not consider your own yard/land or a member of your family. I guarantee those portraits will be priceless to you and future generations.

Down by the Lake {Pelham, AL Family Photographer}

It was a pleasure to finally get to meet this sweet family while they were in town visiting family. Mom and I had connected a while back to have them come over from Atlanta to photograph their family. While Summer mornings can be a little steamy, I am so glad we chose to meet for an outdoor session in their parent's backyard. The boys didn't mind getting to do a little fishing down by the lake and then get to jump in the lake and swim when we were done with the session. ;)

I had the pleasure of working with this sweet family this weekend. We have had their session scheduled for a while, so it was nice to finally get to meet this family. It took Mr. C a little while to warm up, but it was well worth it when those toothly smiles started coming!

Happy Valentine's Day {Birmingham, AL Children's Photographer}

I hope everyone is getting to spend time with those that they love the most this weekend. I couldn't let Valentine's day get by without posting a peek at some of the Valentine Mini Sessions from a couple weekends ago. These sessions were so much fun to photograph. I love that each session had its own unique look and feel with the different age children.

This sweet baby came back for her 9 month pictures.  She has been working on her wave.  She kept trying to wave at me and mom during her session.  I've got so many cute shots with her hand waving.  Too cute! We were able to get some good pictures of the Miss. L and big sister in their adorable matching Christmas dresses.  I happen to know that Mom is going to have a beautiful Christmas card to send out this year!
